Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center
9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday
Just checked this out and it is a great place to take the kids even if you are
an older one.
Most all the displays are up with lots of interactive exhibits. The hardest
thing is trying to find
it. Just take Southard Street like you are going to Fort Zachary Taylor.
Just before you get to
the park entrance look to your right you will see a big parking lot with a tan
color building.
That is it. Now if your like me you can just ask the ranger at the park gate and
he will point it
out. With a visit here you will get a good understanding of the Florida Keys eco
system hence
their name. It is planned to be fully open in Jan. 2007 but even if you are
coming down before
then a must see for Key West newest attraction. Saving the best for last it is
one of the few
things
in Key West that is free. |
