To help those who would like to trade resources. Trading resources is not like it was a few years back.
With the way the major search engines handle them now it is in question weather it is still worth the time.
For now I think it still is and worth the work. We just have to be more careful on how we do it. Here are some guidelines.
1 To get good links you must do the work and be a good link partner ( Be the resource partner as the one you are looking for )
2 Pages with PR are great but you can still get good value from one with no PR so long as it is set up right.
  A You want your resource on a page that is only 2 clicks from a home page This is easy to set up just takes a little Thinking
      You will notice everyone of my pages can be reached from this page. Giving them a good possibility of getting PR.
  B  Avoid using the word L-I-N-K this in all areas of your site.
       Use resources, news, friends or articles in your meta tags and navigation.
  C  Spend as much time on your Meta tags within your resource pages as you do on every page of your site each different
       and relating to that page.
   D  Avoid free for all trading partners and being one yourself.
        Only collect resources that are related to your site. You will note that I have a wide variety of partners but each category
        is targeted to key word phases that I am targeting and I have major section on my site for each.
        I avoid trading partner who do not follow this now with some exceptions. If their resources are set up just to get all kinds of        
        partners. eg. fishing site with links drug gambling hotels banking. This is even more so if the place you want to put my
        resource has a mix of unrelated resources.
   E   Make and look for resource pages that are different from each other and not just the same template with resources on it.
   F   Pages with too many links that shows someone just has not taken the time to set things up right and  you get no value
        From it. Keep it between 30 and 50 resources.
3   3 and 4 way trading seems the way to go if you can find good ones I can not offer it for I just have the one site.
     Have noticed a lot of SEOs Are promoting one site pushing a lot of poor quality sites to put yours on. How good
     this is I can not say but I approach them with caution.
4   Number of resources on a page now this is a very important factor the more outgoing resources the less value each one is
     given I keep mine below 50 in many cases well below. This just takes a little planning.
        The page with your link to me must be cached by Google if not why have your link on it.
