The Schooner Appledore II a traditional 86-foot wooden Windjammer, offers a variety of cruises out of Camden, Maine, and Key West, Florida.
In the summer, enjoy a sightseeing daysail on Penobscot Bay, where you can observe first-hand the wildlife, islands, lighthouses, lobster boats, and beautiful coast of Downeast Maine. In the winter months, join us during your Key West vacation on the waters of the Caribbean. Go snorkeling in North America's only living coral reef or relax on a tropical sunset sail. The Appledore also offers charter sails for weddings, parties, family reunions, or any event that would be fun at sea.
From the moment you set foot upon her solid deck, you sense something special about the Appledore. The Appledore departs from and returns to Bayview Landing at the heart of Camden Harbor. The Appledore has an abundance of comfortable seating, plus a broad deck you can stroll without ever having to duck the rigging. You are welcome to stretch out and relax, help raise the sails or take a turn at the wheel and experience first-hand the thrill of sailing a tall ship.
The Appledore is a traditional wooden windjammer that was designed for adventure. Seaworthy and stable, she was built in Maine in 1978. She has sailed around the world, and her imagination stirring voyages have been chronicled in two books.
