Key West Information Beaches Ann's Beach

Key West
Anne's Beach

At just about mile marker 72.5 on the Atlantic side of US1 you will find a couple of small parking lots for Ann's beach. One has restrooms and a place to change. The two parking lots are connected by a walkway that takes you though the mangrows with a spot for a picnic about half way. I use to always stop here when I came to the Florida Keys on vacation. After driving for hours this was a great spot to stretch my legs and get my first swim in the Keys. Even when your leaving Key West and heading home this is great for getting and enjoying one last swim in the clear blue waters of the Florida Keys be for you leave them.

Anne's Beach is located at Lower Matecumbe Key, Florida. The Islamorada Beach is dedicated to local environmentalist Anne Eaton. There are 2 parking lots approximately 1/4 mile apart on US-1 at MM 73. Anne's Beach features a shallow swimming area, covered picnic tables, boardwalk and bathroom facilities. This Keys Beach is located on the Atlantic Ocean, but there is almost no wave action, due to the wide expanse of shallow water typical for Florida Keys beaches. Visitors can enjoy the clear and warm waters year round. Typical of Anne's Beach is the shallow and warm to very warm waters all year around that one can stay in for hours enjoying the sun
