The hotel's grounds are designed in a natural setting, surrounded by native flora, including a waterfall. The hotel is environmentally responsible with an operational philosophy that instills the highest standards of conservation and preservation. The hotel staff is able to assist guests with any needs that they may have. The Doubletree Grand Key Resort is one-half mile from the beach and ocean. But, the resort operates a complimentary shuttle to their Beach Club on Smather's Beach. An attendant at the club provides a chair, umbrella and towels. Boat rentals, volleyball, snorkeling and a wide variety of other beach activities are available. Guestrooms all have a casually elegant cottage décor and offer ample amenities, such as ceiling fans, as well as individual climate control. High-speed Internet access, in-room movies, Sony Playstation and a minibar are also standard. The bathrooms have a separate full bath and shower. Room service is available from morning until late in the evening. The resort features a heated pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi and an exercise room.
