The world's coral reefs are being killed. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said Thursday that new research finds carbon emissions are threatening coral reefs. The findings are timely as 2008 is the International Year of the Reef.

Join us for a great day on the water aboard our 30 ft. Island Hopper "Fantasea".  You'll find the comfort and convenience of a big boat with a maximum of only 14 divers on board.  Certified to carry 22 persons, but we don't want to crowd you.   Our professional Captains & Crew are all experienced and ready to help with any questions you may have. Most trips allow an hour at each of two different sites, giving you plenty of time in the water with a variety of underwater life.  Common sea life seen at many of our favorite sites are stunning corals, snapper, barracuda, tropical fish, lobster and moray eels.  Our trips visit both deep water and shallow reefs, all offering a different view.  One of our wreck dives, the R.V. Thunderbolt (pictured left), is a 188 foot vessel placed 120 feet below the warm Florida Keys waters as an artificial reef.  It now offers divers an exciting adventure and is a location many sea creatures inhabit.

If you've never been snorkeling before, we'll show you how.  Are you ready to become a certified scuba diver or take advanced courses?  Over the years, Fantasea Divers has developed a teaching method that promotes a successful and confident student.  We are a PADI 5-Star facility offering instruction at all levels, from resort courses for those that want to try SCUBA and are not certified, all the way to leadership classes.  We are also a Divers Alert Network sponsor offering O2 provider & Medic First Aid instruction.   Our class prices include gear rental, boat trips, instruction, books, and registration fees - that means No Hidden Costs!  We believe in offering individual attention at a reasonable price.  I'm sure we'll exceed your expectations.
