The world's coral reefs are being killed. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said Thursday that new research finds carbon emissions are threatening coral reefs. The findings are timely as 2008 is the International Year of the Reef.

Our specialty is affordable private charters to the reefs and islands of the Florida Keys Marine Sanctuary in an uncrowded, relaxed and personal atmosphere.  Restless Native, a 40 ft. sailing trimaran, 26 ft wide, comfortably accommodates up to 6 passengers.  Sailing fast, level and smooth in as little as 3 ft. of water allows us to visit areas that other boats cannot, with time to enjoy all activities at your pace.  Snorkeling on coral reefs and kayaking in the mangrove islands of the backcountry offers encounters with many species of fish and wildlife.  An experienced naturalist will act as your personal guide as you discover the amazing creatures that populate these unique eco-systems. 

The quality of your experience is guaranteed by our friendly crew and spacious boat.  Don't settle for the large crowded boats, when you can enjoy the unique experience that Restless Native offers for about the same price.

All snorkel gear and kayaks are included with expert instruction.  A  light lunch of fresh baked bread, cheese and tropical fruits along with a cooler of ice, soft drinks & bottled water is provided. You may bring your own favorite libation too.  Things to bring: hats, sunscreen, towel, camera, something warm to wear during the winter months.

Our tours are 4 hours, available morning and afternoon. During winter months, the afternoon trip includes a sunset too!

Half-Day Charters...

We conduct wildlife tours in the Marine Sanctuary. We sail you to the reefs or islands on a forty-foot trimaran. Our boat is the largest and fastest six passenger vessel in the charter fleet.

We explore this exquisite ecosystem above and beneath the water. The haunting passages of the mangrove islands reveal their secrets only to those adventurous enough to kayak through them. The interiors provide cover for thousands of birds and fish.

The barrier reefs of the Florida Keys are famous for their incredible variety of fish. The best way to see this natural wonder is by snorkeling. Trips to the reef are weather dependent. We go only when conditions are close to ideal.

A knowledgeable guide accompanies all our tours. Our aim is to offer you a meaningful experience with a minimum impact on the places that we visit. We leave nothing behind and take only photographs with us. Fantastic sunshine and exquisite sailing.

Overnight Charters

Most of the Florida Keys are uninhabited except by wildlife. The only way to experience this natural wonder is by boat. For those who are looking for an extraordinary cruising experience, we offer over night charters in the Marine Sanctuary. Superb sailing and responsible wildlife viewing with terrific food and simple accommodations assures you and unforgettable experience.

We can visit remote island beaches, watch exotic birds or sail the Gulf Stream with flying fish and wild dolphins.

At night, we anchor in protected waters and star watch far away from the lights of town.

We limit these trips to two people.
