Key West Scuba Diving

West of the Marquesas there are several to dive on. The first is just1/2 mile west. Parts of the wreck are very shallow, and just below the surface. Be careful not to lose a propeller. Here the sandbar shifts a lot sometimes covering the wreck completely, while at other times leaving it fully exposed. About 3 1/2 miles farther west is another target wreck the Patrice. The wreck is easy to spot because it is surrounded with I-beams sticking 12 feet out of the water. It is about 150 feet long and just a pile of jagged metal. When diving on this site be sure to wear protective gear to keep from getting cut on the jagged metal.
