Captain Ty Cash was born and raised in Southern California. At the age of 17 he moved to Houston, Texas where he lived for 5 years before moving to the Rocky Mountains of Wyoming. He has travelled all over North America fishing and hunting. His travels have taken him to Montana, and Idaho to fish for trout, to South Padre Island to fish for redfish and to Cancun, Mexico where he fished for Tarpon and Bonefish.

Captain Ty's great love for Tarpon fishing brought him to the Key West and the Florida Keys in 1998 where he is pursuing a Guiding Career and can fish all year ‘round. In the past two years, he has fished from Key Biscayne to Key West and has finally settled here at Holiday Isle. His specialty is fishing for large tarpon on fly, and he prefers fly fishing overall. He recalls the time that he and a friend had a 26 pound permit and a 100 pound tarpon hooked up at the same time. Of course, the tarpon went one way and the permit the other. They brought both fish to the boat 1 1/2 hours later. He has a lot of memories of his times out on the water, including the time his anglers hooked up 15 tarpon, on fly, in one day.

The "Ty 1 On" is available for full, 1/2 day and night tarpon trips.
