The southern most land point of the United States is signified by a monument in the form of a navigation buoy.  The buoy is located at the geographical southern most point of the United States in the city of Key West, Florida.  It was created by a city public works employee and made from spare parts found around the shop.  The monument is the most photographed site in Key West and displays the phrase "90 miles to Cuba"

This is a replica to scale of the Southernmost Point monument located at the south end of Whitehead Street in Key West, Florida.  It measures 2 3/4 inches high by 2 inches square on the base and is constructed of resin.  It weighs just 5 ounces.
